Don’t Be Discouraged!

What a challenging time to own or run a business! A pandemic, an unstable economy, and ever-changing protocols are all tough enough to adapt to alone but throw all of these together and you have a real predicament to navigate. 

We’ve seen it all over the news… businesses are struggling or having to close their doors. Hiring and retaining the help needed to successfully keep businesses up and running has also become a major issue. Sales are declining and reaching your audience is filled with confusion and frustration. Everything you thought you knew about running a business seems to no longer be relevant. Bottom line… it’s discouraging.

Professionally, I am a Marketer. But by nature, I am an Encourager and I am here to tell you, “don’t be discouraged!” Easier said than done, I know, but I’d like to offer you some encouragement along with a few tips that may help you out.

You Can Do It!

Whatever it is… you can do it! Whatever is standing in your way, you can get past it. Try looking at your obstacle from a different angle. Ask someone you trust and whose opinion you value if they have any advice or ideas to help move around your roadblock. Oftentimes it really helps to get a different point of view from someone who isn’t facing the same obstacle as you.

Clear Your Mind.

Make time for yourself to clear the clutter in your mind. Whether it’s a couple of hours or a week-long vacation, it’s vitally important to set aside some time just for you. Don’t think about all of the lists you need to make or the tasks that you have to do. After all, a business can only be as healthy as its leader!

Adjust Your Strategy.

Over the past year and a half, businesses have had to change their strategies and do things completely different than they have ever done before. Evaluate what’s currently working and what isn’t. When you’re able to identify what’s working and what isn’t, it makes it easier to determine the changes in your strategy that need to be made.
