Working In (And On) Our Community

Designs With That Wayzata Feel
Logos should be distinct, iconic, and descriptive. Some of our city’s most famous landmarks have been incorporated into logo designs, including The Depot and the waters of Lake Minnetonka. We’re accustomed to collaborating with a variety of organizations, effectively working with boards and governing bodies of all kinds to stitch together the iconography of our city as we know it. Ensuring our clients have effective logos as part of their visual identity is a key part of our organizational process – it’s an essential aspect of helping our clients WIN.
Community events like James J. Hill Days, the beloved Daschund Races, and the Chilly Open among many others bring Wayzata residents and local fun-seekers to our beautiful downtown. Every time we’re called upon, we’re honored to take part in helping make these events great experiences for attendees and organizers alike.
In terms of development itself, event branding often requires designing around a specific theme while being mindful of the existing brand personality of the organization putting on the event. Additionally, event designs require particular considerations because of their frequent promotion and use on products and equipment. They must be versatile enough to appear clearly on posters, on apparel, and other promotional materials.

Panoway On Wayzata Bay
In conjunction with The Wayzata Conservancy, Fuzzy Duck contributed a number of secondary design and messaging elements to the Panoway project. With much of the plan and branding already in place, we set out to best communicate the goals and benefits of the proposed project to stakeholders, including government organizations, Wayzata residents, and Lake Minnetonka visitors.
Incorporating elements of the preexisting primary brand elements, the Fuzzy Duck team developed unique icons that coincided with the goals of the Panoway project. They became a key tool for communicating with local officials and the larger community as each icon corresponded with an anticipated benefit of the initiative. In addition to building on the style and elements of the original brand design, the icons depict downtown landmarks and even a portion of Panoway itself, the future boardwalk. The icons went on to be used in pitch decks, signage, and their website – all essential communication channels for this monumental project.
Communicating Panoway’s vision right in the area where it was set to take shape was an essential part of the overall communication strategy. Fuzzy Duck designed signage for placement at key points in the Panoway plan, allowing visitors to admire the sites for what they were and what they could be.

Bursting With Hometown Pride
Getting out on the field in a local league is a rite of passage for young athletes everywhere! We’re proud to have illustrated mascots and designed logos donning kid’s jerseys in sports across the city.

Helping Local Businesses Advertise
While we strive to help small businesses win, we’re always eager to jump in and support local advertising efforts when we’re able. Currently, Fuzzy Duck provides scoreboard animations that promote local sponsors on the big screen at Wayzata High School football games. Additionally, we provide support to a number of local businesses as they advertise weekly in the local chamber of commerce’s Shop.Eat.Enjoy email blasts. We know just how important it is to get your name out there; we’re happy to help local organizations promote themselves.

For Wayzata and Beyond
As a true creative marketing partner to small businesses, we know sometimes the greatest impact can be made closest to home. We’re proud to raise up local initiatives, bringing together local residents, visitors, businesses, and governments to support the economic vitality of this great city!
